What You Get
That You Won't Get Elsewhere
Small cohorts, real critique, and learning measured by artefacts produced — not hours logged.
Back to HomeCore Advantages
Practitioner-Designed Curriculum
Every module was built by people who have used the techniques in production contexts, not assembled from academic syllabi. The examples, problems and datasets come from real work.
Small Cohorts by Design
Cohort sizes are capped so that critique sessions are about your work, not a brief mention of it. The facilitator knows what each learner is building and why they made the choices they did.
Tangible Output at Every Level
From notation reference sheets in the Maths Refresher to full portfolio assessments in the ten-month programme, each engagement ends with something you produced and can point to.
Malaysian Time Zones and Context
Live sessions are scheduled for MYT. Problems and case studies draw on industries active in the region. There's no need to adapt US or EU examples to a different economic reality.
Structured Mentoring, Not Open Hours
Mentor sessions in the Studio and Portfolio programmes follow a defined structure with specific checkpoints. Meetings have a purpose; feedback is written down and referenced at the next session.
Honest About What You'll Learn
No employment promises and no income projections. We describe what you will practise and what you will build. A written reference at programme close summarises exactly that — and nothing beyond it.
Built by People Who Do the Work
The Cogniva team came out of applied roles in logistics systems, financial data and NLP pipelines before moving into education. The curriculum reflects that background: the problems used in sessions are ones that came up in actual projects, not textbook constructions. When a critique session flags that an evaluation metric is misleading, it's because someone in the room has been misled by that metric in a real context.
Facilitators with production ML experience in Malaysian industries
Problems drawn from logistics, fintech, e-commerce and manufacturing contexts
Curriculum updated before each cohort to reflect current tooling and practice
Working on Real Infrastructure
GPU credits and cloud accounts are part of the programme from the first session in the Studio and Portfolio programmes. Learners train models on the same type of infrastructure they would use professionally. Notebooks are structured to run in the cloud environment provided, not just locally on a laptop where dependencies are easier to control.
GPU credits included in Studio and Portfolio programme fees
Cloud accounts set up and managed at enrolment
Notebooks designed for reproducibility and cloud execution
Support That Has a Structure
Questions during a programme go to a dedicated channel monitored by the facilitation team. Mentor pairings are built around scheduled checkpoints — typically one every two to three weeks — with a written summary after each. Between sessions, learners know what they're working toward and what will be reviewed. There's less ambiguity about whether help is available than in arrangements where support is promised without a defined form.
Dedicated study channel with facilitation team monitoring
Mentor check-in schedule agreed at programme start
Written summaries kept after each mentor session
Transparent Pricing, Defined Scope
All programme fees are published and cover everything listed in the programme description. There are no upsells during a programme and no separate charges for materials, recordings or the cloud resources allocated. The Maths Refresher sits at RM 470, the Studio at RM 1,620 and the Portfolio Programme at RM 4,700 — each with a defined set of what is included.
All-inclusive fees — no separate materials or platform charges
Pricing published upfront — RM 470 to RM 4,700 depending on programme
Payment terms discussed before a cohort seat is reserved

Things We Do That Others Don't
Public Critique Format
Model Building Studio sessions end with work reviewed in front of the whole cohort. This is deliberate — professional AI work is evaluated by people who didn't build it, and learning to discuss your decisions clearly is part of what the programme develops.
Decision Log Template
Every learner in the Studio programme uses a structured decision log throughout the programme. The habit of recording why a modelling choice was made — and what alternatives were considered — is one of the most underrated skills in applied AI work.
Written Reference at Programme Close
Portfolio Programme completers receive a written reference that describes what they built, what decisions they made, and how their work was assessed. This is not a certificate — it's a document that can be shown to a technical reviewer and withstand follow-up questions.
Interview Practice Grounded in Actual Work
Whiteboard sessions and mock interviews in the Portfolio Programme use the learner's own projects as the basis for discussion — not generic problems. You practice talking through something you built, which is what a technical interview actually tests.
